"Under Pressure: Glaucoma and other ophthalmic emergencies"

This presentation will focus on the major ophthalmic emergencies including glaucoma, lens luxation, deep and melting corneal ulcers, and corneal ruptures. It will start by covering the clinical signs and how to recognize and diagnose these conditions. We will then discuss the most important initial treatment steps to stabilize such eyes and when possible, preserve vision. We will conclude with information on when and how to refer to an ophthalmologist.
