Dr. Renee Streeter is a Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist® and currently works as the Senior Director of Animal Nutrition for The Farmer’s Dog. While working in general practice and clinical nutrition for several years, Dr. Streeter founded her own veterinary nutrition consulting company, which later merged with BSM Partners where she served as Principal Nutritionist for 6 years. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Cornell University before attending veterinary school at Ross University. Her clinical rotations were done at Cornell University’s college of veterinary medicine, where she stayed on to do her Clinical Nutrition residency. 

  • 1.Summarize the scientific evidence addressing six common myths about fresh diets: safety, fresh diets are too fatty, cooking at home, dental health, completeness/balance, and the research base.
  • 2.Critically evaluate the limitations of historical studies often cited against fresh food and compare them with current research.
  • 3.Apply concise, non-confrontational communication strategies to dispel nutrition myths with both clients and colleagues in a clinical setting.
