This session will review the clinical spectrum of pancreatitis in dogs and how this can influence treatment decisions. We will discuss traditional supportive and symptomatic care, as well as explore novel therapeutic approaches including Panoquell-CA1 (fuzapladib sodium).

Learning Objectives:

·  Evaluate a dog with pancreatitis and determine the most appropriate setting for management (inpatient vs outpatient).

·  Describe the components of supportive and symptomatic care for dogs with pancreatitis.

·  Explain the mechanism of action and potential role of Panoquell-CA1 in the treatment of pancreatitis in dogs.
