Feeling the Pressure! Arterial Catheterization & Blood Gas Interpretation

This lecture provides a comprehensive deep dive into the use of arterial catheters for a variety of anesthesia scenarios. Attendees will learn the different indications, contraindications, and common complications for arterial catheter placement. A step-by-step walkthrough of peripheral artery anatomy and catheter placement tips and techniques will be thoroughly discussed. Techniques for measuring invasive blood pressure, arterial waveform interpretation, and catheter management will be reviewed. Attendees will also receive an introduction to practical uses for blood gas interpretation during anesthesia, including case-based examples.
