The Science of Aging: Turning Back the Clock for Canine Health

November 07, 2025
Brooklyn Theater

This session explores the biology of canine aging, highlighting mechanisms that drive the “Three Ds-”disability, disease, and death. Participants will learn to view aging as a modifiable risk factor, with opportunities to delay disease onset, preserve quality of life, and extend healthy lifespan. We will explore a preventive medicine approach to healthy aging, including the key areas of nutrition, physical activity, veterinary care, and emerging medications. The session will also emphasize communication strategies that help veterinarians gain client compliance and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality preventive care for senior pets.
