This interactive case-based lecture will provide practitioners with a practical stepwise approach to the initial assessment and management of endocrine emergencies involving the endocrine pancreas, adrenal glands, and parathyroid glands. Topics will include important clues that endocrine disease (or its treatment) is the cause of presenting signs, appropriate testing to confirm the diagnosis, and updated recommendations on treatment. Maintenance therapy and monitoring protocols will be covered.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
