October 29, 2026
Central Park Clinical Theater
Ophthalmology

This session will focus on the identification and management of indolent corneal ulcers, a common yet often challenging ophthalmic condition. Attendees will review key components of the ophthalmic examination and diagnostic techniques necessary for accurate diagnosis and differentiation of indolent ulcers from other corneal diseases. The session will discuss criteria for recognizing when a corneal ulcer has become indolent, as well as treatment options, including various procedural interventions and appropriate medical therapies. Participants will also gain insight into the potential consequences of delayed or inappropriate treatment as well as understanding when referral to a veterinary ophthalmologist is warranted. By the end of the session, attendees will be better equipped to confidently diagnose, manage, and appropriately refer patients with indolent corneal ulcers.
