This presentation will briefly review how to use history, clinical signs, and response to therapy to diagnose canine atopic dermatitis with environmental triggers after ruling out flea allergy dermatitis, other ectoparasites, and canine atopic dermatitis with diet triggers. Canine case-based scenarios will be used to discuss medication selection including lokivetmab, JAK inhibitors, cyclosporine, corticosteroids, and allergen specific immunotherapy.
- Identify patients with canine atopic dermatitis with environmental allergen triggers, choose medication based on severity and duration of allergic skin disease, identity adverse events from allergy therapy
