Myths, alternative facts, and half truths plague veterinary nutrition. It is difficult for many clients to make sense of what they are reading and sometimes even more difficult for us to educate them. In this lecture we will address popular nutrition myths, provide key client communicate tips, and review how best to judge the quality of pet food.

  • -Recognize how clients judge the quality of pet food and be able to educate them on how they can do better
  • -Help to educate clients on how to assess information they find on the internet regarding veterinary nutrition
  • -Be familiar with evidence based, optimal nutrition recommendations vs marketing driven nutrition recommendations
