Sue Ettinger

Sue Ettinger

Dr. Sue Ettinger, DVM, DACVIM, is a renowned veterinary cancer specialist, international speaker, and author known as Dr. Sue Cancer Vet®. With her extensive expertise as one of North America's board-certified specialists in medical oncology, Dr. Sue is dedicated to dispelling myths about cancer in dogs and cats, advocating for early detection through her initiative "See Something, Do Something, Why Wait? Aspirate.®," and providing comprehensive and compassionate care. Based in Westchester, New York, Dr. Sue passionately shares her knowledge through various platforms, including her popular social media channels, podcasts, and as the co-author of the best-selling book, "The Dog Cancer Survival Guide."

Mariana Pardo

Mariana Pardo

Dr. Pardo earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 from the Universidad Mayor in Santiago, Chile. She finished two emergency and critical care internships at the University of Georgia (UGA) and then the University of Florida. She recently completed her emergency and critical residency at Cornell University. She has a strong interest in exotic critical care medicine, and during her time at UGA, Dr. Pardo worked on a manuscript with Dr. Stephen Divers: “Jugular central venous catheter placement through a modified Seldinger technique for long-term venous access in chelonians”

Mark M. Smith

Mark Smith

A distinguished Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and the American Veterinary Dental College, Dr. Smith has left an indelible mark on veterinary surgery and dentistry. A Founding Fellow in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for both prestigious colleges, he served as a professor at VA Tech from 1988 to 2004, garnering numerous awards for his contributions. Dr. Smith is also the co-author of the acclaimed "Atlas of Approaches for General Surgery of the Dog and Cat" and currently holds the esteemed position of Editor Emeritus at the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry.

Heather Troyer

Heather Troyer

As a dedicated Hospitalist, Dr. Troyer brings a wealth of expertise to the veterinary field, holding board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline Practice. With a diverse educational background, including a BS in Zoology from Miami University, OH, a DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and specialized certifications in acupuncture and pain management, Dr. Troyer is committed to advancing geriatric medicine and providing compassionate care in hospice and palliative settings. Since joining OAH in 2005, Dr. Troyer actively contributes to professional associations such as AVMA, NJVMA, and ABVP, further solidifying their commitment to excellence in veterinary practice.
