Dr. Butler is currently the USDA APHIS Emergency Coordinator for the states of New York and New Jersey. Prior to this role, she was a Veterinary Medical Officer at the Veterinary Export and Trade Services (VETS) East Coast Service Center in Albany, New York. She was previously a Field Veterinary Medical Officer in Southeast Georgia and prior to that was a Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) Applied Epidemiology Fellow at the Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of Epidemiology. She also worked in private practice as a dairy veterinarian in Northern New York State. Dr. Butler is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, skiing, swimming, road biking, and playing with her cat, Munson.
