An experienced clinician, he has led general practices and founded an emergency clinic in Westchester County, NY. At VPP, he oversees professional development programs to improve clinical and leadership skills and promote practice ownership. He is a frequent speaker to veterinary audiences, including the VBMA certificate program and Cornell’s CVBE program. Working on behalf of the profession in diverse leadership roles in education, public health, nutrition, licensure, credentialing and risk management, he served as President of the AVMA. A determined voice for diversity and promoting women into leadership roles in veterinary medicine, he was a founding board member of WVLDI.
