Dr. Flaherty was born and raised in the Boston South Shore area. He attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania, after which he completed a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. He then completed a residency in veterinary ophthalmology at Colorado State University while also earning a master’s degree. After achieving board certification as a veterinary ophthalmologist, Dr. Flaherty joined the team at Veterinary Eye Center of NYC at its Long Island City location in Queens. His clinical interests include blepharoplastic procedures and corneal disease management. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring restaurants, gardening, and cooking for family and friends.
