Dr. Elyse Pendergast is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at Tufts in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery and began a residency in Neurology/Neurosurgery at the Animal Medical Center in NYC before returning to her true love of General Practice. She served as Chief of Staff for a companion animal hospital in Rhode Island for several years, followed by a position as Department Head for GP/Exotics/Nutrition/Behavior at a hybrid VCA hospital. Dr. P lives in Massachusetts with her husband, daughter, and three dogs. Her free time is spent paddle-boarding, practicing yoga, cooking, and tending to a huge collection of houseplants. Dr. P has a passion for surgery and loves supporting our hospitals’ surgical and dental growth. She also believes in the importance of wellness within our field, and she is proud to be part of a team with such an emphasis on the well-being of both our pets and our partners.
