Eric Nelson, a published, award-winning veteran Architect of 30 years, is an Associate with rfa and our Supervising Architect. With a rich, diverse history of private practice and international project leadership, he brings a broad range of design, technical and management skills to our firm. In his tenure at rfa, he has led our project teams in the development of over 70 animal care facilities across the U.S and abroad. His experience and expertise in the animal care industry includes the design and management of: Municipal and private animal shelters, University and private teaching hospitals, multi-species general practices, accident and emergency centers, clinical research facilities and specialty referral hospitals. He brings a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of veterinary medical facility design from space allocation and medical master planning to noise and odor control, fear free design, material selection and contagion control.
