Dr. Tobias was raised in Alabama and attended Cornell University for his undergraduate studies.  In 2011 he graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and subsequently stayed to complete an anatomic pathology residency. In 2014 Dr. Tobias attained American College of Veterinary Pathologists board certification and began working for IDEXX Laboratories in Memphis. In 2018, he joined an amazing team of pathology managers focused on supporting our pathologists as they help the vets help the pets.  In 2023, Dr. Tobias was honored to become an adjunct assistant professor in the NCSU CVM department of clinical sciences for his continued contributions in biopsy training of the clinical dermatology trainees.  These days he is based in Houston, Texas and spends his spare time wrangling his nephews and their Great Pyrenees.
