Dr. Malatos completed his veterinary degree in 2015 at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a residency in anatomic pathology with a special focus in zoo, aquatic, and wildlife pathology at Cornell University and the Wildlife Conservation Society (Bronx Zoo), and became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2018. Following his residency, Dr. Malatos completed a fellowship in aquatic animal pathology with the Wildlife Conservation Society at the NY Aquarium and worked as an independent contractor with the Aquatic Health Program at Cornell until joining IDEXX in 2020. His professional interests include aquatic animal pathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, and general tumor pathology.
