Justin Carlson received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008 where he received the Everingham prize in cardiology. He went on to complete a cardiology residency at Texas A&M University in 2013 and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) in that same year. He has served the ACVIM over the last twelve years through the Specialty Exam Review Committee, Specialty Exam Committee, Specialty Item Writing Committee, Cardiology Item Writing Committee, and Specialty Exam Form Review Committee. He currently is the founding cardiologist and chief medical director at The Animal Cardiology Center (TACC).
