Melissa is a licensed veterinary technician and a veterinary technician specialist in Emergency and Critical Care. Currently, Melissa is the Learning and Development Manager for the Specialty/ER and Northeast hospitals at United Veterinary Care. As owner of Melissa Evans, VTS (ECC) - Veterinary Nurse Consulting, Melissa teaches ECC topics, technician utilization and advocacy. She is a RECOVER CPR Certified Instructor. Melissa speaks at international conferences and is published in veterinary nursing journals. She sits on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). Melissa lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, son and three cats.
