Dr. Michael Congiusta received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Following graduation, he pursued advanced specialty training through a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, where he developed a strong interest in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery.
Dr. Congiusta subsequently completed a residency in Dentistry & Oral Surgery at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2024. He is board-certified by the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and serves as Medical Director of Prism Veterinary Dentistry in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
Dr. Congiusta enjoys all aspects of veterinary dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications within the field. His clinical interests include endodontics and prosthodontics, with a particular passion for preserving strategically important teeth that have sustained traumatic injury and might otherwise require extraction. He is committed to helping pets maintain a comfortable, functional, and pain-free oral cavity while providing clients with evidence-based treatment options tailored to each patient.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Congiusta enjoys spending time outdoors with his dog Leia, fishing, and unwinding in the kitchen through baking. He values the balance these hobbies provide and appreciates any opportunity to share a good meal, explore new recipes, or spend a day on the water.
