Dr. Rachel Starr graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She began her career as a mixed animal practitioner in rural Ohio before working as a shelter veterinarian in Columbus. Returning to Michigan in 2005, she practiced small animal medicine in the Traverse City area. Her passion for holistic care led her to study Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, laser therapy, and Nutrition Response Testing, completing Advanced Clinic Training in 2018. After 18 years specializing in non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical therapies, she opened Pets and Their People, Inc. – Nutrition and Laser Therapy Center in May 2024.
