Dr. Spano is NYC's only board-certified veterinary behaviorist. A native New Yorker, she completed her undergraduate studies at Barnard College and her veterinary studies at the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI, Canada. After completing a rotating internship with the ASPCA, she stayed on as a veterinarian for Humane Law Enforcement cases and then served as Medical Director at the Adoption Center. Dr. Spano achieved her Diplomacy through the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists in 2023 and opened the AMC's first-ever Behavior Department earlier this year.
