Dr. Whitney Phipps is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and attended Washington University for her undergraduate degree before completing her veterinary doctorate at the University of Missouri. Following veterinary school, she pursued a rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical center in Boston, Massachusetts, a specialty surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houstin, Texas, and her surgery residency at Tufts University in Massachusetts. Dr. Phipps has worked as a boarded surgeon in private and academic practices in several states. She currently works as a surgeon at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in New York City. She performs a wide variety of soft tissue, orthopedic, oncologic, and minimally invasive surgeries. She has a particular interest in thoracic surgeries, the surgical management of polytrauma cases, and surgical education. When not working. Dr. Phipps enjoys spending time with her family and their two dogs, working in the garden, and generally spending time outside.
